Since the publication of the NIS-2 Directive, also known as “The Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive,” in the EU Official Journal on December 27, 2022, and its entry into force on January 16, 2023, companies and institutions have been facing new challenges in cyber and information security. In Germany, a draft law from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, known as the NIS-2 Implementation and Cybersecurity Strengthening Act (NIS-2UmsuCG), has been in place since July 2023.
